I just transitioned to a new Dell D630 running Windows XP with SP2. When using battery, the cursor will sometimes change to a strange icon with a central bold dot and a carat > both above and below the dot. It freezes and no amount of touchpad movement will free it. I just shut the system down using the power button.
Any ideas what causes this?
