    Locked

    by bass_dr ·

When I boot my computer, at the very begining, the computer goes bip, bip, bip, bip, for about 30 secondes, then it continues booting normaly… it slows the booting a little and it’s anoying. I tried to reload the bios (using the flash bios on acer’s web site, but it didn’t change anything. I have an ACER 5110 that I bough 1 year ago, (warranty expired)

Try reseating the RAM normally if the RAM wasn’t seated properly it would be a constant beep but first up take a look reseat it and even reseat the processor.

I would also take a look in the BIOS and see if temperature monitoring enabled, if it is check the threshold that is set.

You could also go into the BIOS & change to

Stop On All Errors. That way the system would stop when BIOS encounters a error and tell you what has happened.

Also check the Owners Manual to see if it lists anything there in the Troubleshooting Section.

Having the system stop on all errors will tell you if there’s a key stuck down on the keyboard. If it stops, it will tell you keyboard failure.

The key that’s stuck may not mean anything to the boot process like the DEL or F2 key would, so the ‘puter just bips at the same rate the keyboard repeat is set to.
