Student Access to Folders on the Network

I am tech. coordinator and manage our network at the high school where I teach. I run a computer lab that has a computer running Windows Server 2000. I want to have the students save their work in individual folders that they can access from anywhere in the school. Is there some way to set this up where they could only save and access their own files and not other students. I am new to this position and to networking, but I am eager to learn how to manage my lab and the entire school efficiently.
