Subscript and Superscript in Word 2003 / 2007

By gesiggie7a ·
Hi,
Does anyone have any idea if one can write a superscript directly above a subscript in Word? This is specifically for the writing of chemical elements in the Periodic table. The closest I get is to write one and tjen the other. This doesn't look quite as neat as the text books.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Microsoft Equation

by Bizzo In reply to Subscript and Superscript ...

If you want to add subscripts and superscripts at the same level, then you can use Microsoft Equation.

From the menu: Insert -> Object -> "Create New" tab -> Object Type: Microsoft Equation

This should allow you to add the notation you need from the "subscript and superscript templates"

If Microsoft Equation is not available to you, then this should explain how to install it
