Sudden Syncronisation of OFFLINE Folders

we have configuared the offline folder for the Network Mapped Drives in LAN of the File Server. This will help all our Laptop Users work offline outside the office, use the same drive when they are offline (without LAN). When they connect to the Laptop to LAN this will automatically syncronize the data what they have worked.

Problem: Suddenly when the users with offline folders though they are ONLINE, the File starts syncronzing as if the user has disconnect from the LAN (OFFLINE) and he has again connected to the LAN.

Can any one tell me why this sudden Syncronization is happening though the Laptop is ONLINE. We are using Windows 2000 Server wiht Service pack3.

Thanks
