Suppress addresses in distribution list

At work, I currently have WIN 2000 (PC) and MS Office 2000. In Outlook 97, when I created a distribution list, there was a way of entering the “title of the list” so that only that title appeared in the address rather than the whole, long list of everyone in the distribution list. So far, I have not been able to find that option in Outlook 2000 (at work or at home). Is there a way to do this in Outlook 2000?
