Would like to know if it is possible to suppress the ability for GAL users to add a GAL contact in a public folder contact database?
Scenario:
We have created numerous cobtact dabases in public folders for all network users to access. Since each new contact entry in those contact dabases creates a journal displaying all activity for that contact (specifically, including notes and e-mail exchanges from all users accessing that contact record) this information is visible for all users to view including ALL e-mail activity for that user as well.
If someone internal to our conpany (a GAL member) adds someone from the GAL user list to a contact database in a public folder, apparently there is NOT a way to suppress that GAL contact’s activity history from also being viewed in the journal by all users accessing that public folder. For obvious security reasons, we want to suppress this capability if possible. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
