    Suprress Windows Logon

    Locked

    by petrosi ·

My associate found a way to suppress the Windows Logon and only allow the Microsoft Network Lohin screen. We set the default login screen to be the Windows Logon. A null entry is used for the password. Thereafter, a change in the Network passworddoes not require changing the Windows logon password.

Is there another way? Something that doesn’t require our sitting at each desk. Thanks for any help forthcoming.

Yep, you can create a registry entry to do this, and have it automatically applied with the login script.

      Hi,
To have an automatic logon on windows you must insert this keys on registry :
      HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\AutoAdminLogon=1
      HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultPassword=”your password”
      HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultUserName=”your name”

There are another keys for automatic logon with NetWare.
