a question about swapping machines, suggested using a BDC for the accounts and promoting it to PDC, then replace the BDC machine. My question is: what if you only have 1 machine, PDC, and want to upgrade the software, i.e. reinstall NTServer like from eval copy to retail, and keep security ID’s. How to install software as same Domain and user names…. I’m stuck with the SID part.?
