Switching DNS from Unix to Win2k

by quintar51 . Updated 24 years, 3 months ago

hi,

at work we have a unix server that’s also our DNS server. the domain is ‘company.com’. There’s also a domain controller running DNS, the domain is ‘sub.domain.com’. This is a weird setup, and the problem is that clients are unable to resolve names for the ‘company.com’ domain. Is there anyway to bring up a w2k server for ‘company.com’ and have that as the root instead of the unix server? Also, i would like the distruption to be as minimal as possible. I was thinking I can enable fowarders on the w2k server now, but that is only a temp solution. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
