    Sync of Palm 500 with Outlook 2000

    Hi,

    Could you let me know where I can find information about configuring Palm 500 to synchronise with Outlook (Or vice versa).

      Definatly grab a copy of Intelisync from Puma (can be found at download.com)
      it rocks!!

      Desktop to go will do the same as Intele sync but it will allow you to choose the folder to sysnc. My wife and I share Outlook and I have her palm sync her contacts to a different folder than mine.

      The Palm Desktop CD that comes with the m500 comes with software called, PocketMirror, which allows you to Hotsync with Outlook. PocketMirror is installed by doing a Custom install of the Palm Desktop sofware. After the Component Selection screen,choice the option to Hotsync with Outlook. You do not need to spend any extra money on other programs like, Intellisync. For more information about PocketMirror go to chapura.com, the publishers of PocketMirror.

      You need some additional software to accomplish this. There are a couple I know of. One is available on the CD you got with your M500. It is called Pockertmirror from Chapura. It is in the Pam Desktop folder on your CD. Just click on the setup/exe and it will install. The Chapura.com web site has a great FAQ area if you encounter problems with teh sync. The version on the CD is the standard. It allows you to sync to folders in Outlook, but not sub folders. For that you would needPocketMirror professional, for which there is a charge.
