sysprep and Printers in XP

By brianmpenn ·
When I deploy a computer lab with a "sysprep-ed" image I build network printer installation into the answer file. The problem I have is that the printers will only install when the user that ran the sysprep utility first logs in. Additionally, theprinters are then only installed for that user. How can I make those printers visible to all users (new or old) that log into that machine?

IF printers are IP addressable...

If each printer has an IP address & you don't have to use a network shared print queue, you can create each printer as a "local" printer and create a "Standard TCP/IP" port to assign it to. All "Local" printers are available to all users and this bypasses the "network" printer limitation.
