Sysprep - hangs

By golee77 ·
On a brand new Windows 2000 Sp1 machine using the latest sysprep. After invoking sysprep, the icons disappear and the blue Windows background remains, it hangs here. Until I do ctrl/alt/del and click Task Manager. It then says "Saving Settings" and goes to "Windows shutting down" and then hangs here. I power off the machine and Ghost to another machine. I boot the Ghosted machine and sysprep appears to have worked ?
I am not comfortable that sysprep does not complete without my intervention. Any ideas ?
Thanks !

Sorry I don't have the technet article #, but it is a known bug. I have been ghosting with this 'bug' for over a year and it has not caused any noticeable problems.
