Sysprep – hangs

by golee77 . Updated 24 years, 11 months ago

On a brand new Windows 2000 Sp1 machine using the latest sysprep. After invoking sysprep, the icons disappear and the blue Windows background remains, it hangs here. Until I do ctrl/alt/del and click Task Manager. It then says “Saving Settings” and goes to “Windows shutting down” and then hangs here. I power off the machine and Ghost to another machine. I boot the Ghosted machine and sysprep appears to have worked ?
I am not comfortable that sysprep does not complete without my intervention. Any ideas ?
Thanks !
