System 36 Backup

By tbraker ·
Subject: System 36

I'm working on backing up an old System36 box to get ready for a HD replace.

The #LIBRARY is currently on a part of the disk that is going bad and
doesn't want to backup.

Do you know where I can get the SST (or whatever it's called) install stuff
on 5.25" disks?

Any help would be appreciated.

Tom

:-)
It is SSP and stands for System Support Program

You must know this is a very difficult info to get nowadays, but I got some references about it:

http://www.as400.ibm.com/developer/year2000/y2k36ptf.html

for what it says here, the SSP is purchased or available to ones with a contract.

Sorry I cant give more help.

Good luck :-)

Why not give rsync a try? (http://rsync.samba.org) If you're networked, you can sync all files off of the disk onto another disk.
