system policy template

By msfiroudis ·
Hi,
I have a winnt4.o network. With mostly 95 & 98 clients. I'm setting a system policy creating my own template on the server for the clients(1st on a 95,98 machine & then copied over to the server).
My question is I don't know the registry path to have the win95&98 machines not be a browser(not to participate at all).I would like to set the setting to no. If anybody knows the registry path. It would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

Microsoft has copious quantities of information on this topic. Try here:

Configuring Browser Options for WinNT, Win95, and WFW

Hi,

If you meant to remove all the Win95 & Win98 machines from the browser list (network neighboorhood) then you could go to Network Applet in Control Panel and remove the File and Print Sharing Services from the network.

If you meant to make your NT Server the Master Browser, I believe that NT has the higher priority than Win95/Win98 machines, so it would become automatically the MASTER browser.
