System Preferences, itunes and safari not working. Please Help? imac

By elliebellyhoubert ·
my system preferences, safari and itunes aren't working, when i click on them, whether it be in the applications folder or in my dock, the windows don't come up but the menu bar changes. so i can for example create a new playlist in itunes by going through file but the window isn't up so i can't see anything.
does anyone have any advice as to how i can fix it?

If you told us what it is you are working with here. We are not Physic so you need to tell us what you have int he form of a Computer and what OS you are using and if it is consented to a Network and if it is what Security Protocols are in place.

After all we can not just have a look See as to what is going on here.

When you downloaded the Applications like I Tunes

You didn't get the Window Versions did you?

I've just looked on the Apple Web Site and the Mac Version of I Tunes isn't at all easy to find you need to scroll down to the bottom of the left hand side and click on Get the Mac Version of Itunes otherwise it defaults to the Windows Version which will not work on a Mac.

I assume that the Web Page for Safari is the same as they are all on Apples Web Site.

But you need to get the Mac Versions not the Windows Versions of these Applications. The Mac runs on a version of BSD which is not interchangeable with Windows.
