      Hi there,

More than any country, it would depend on Apple’s and Google’s (for iTunes and GooglePlay respectively) data collection and security policies. If the features of your app are not compatible with their policies, or if they get the idea that the your app might misuse the data of the users collected by it, they will not allow you to upload in in their app markets.

if you were to reveal what exactly your app does; what type of data it collects and its use thereafter; what country you are targeting etc., maybe I can help you in a better way.

Generally, countries don’t pose preemptive restriction of download of any new app. Bans on some apps like WhatsApp, YouTube etc. in some countries was imposed only after they were already being used in that country and country decided that it wasn’t good for their nationals.

        Hi AJ,

thank you so much, that was very helpfull.

what you said earlier :”if you were to reveal what exactly your app does; what type of data it collects and its use thereafter; what country you are targeting etc., maybe I can help you in a better way.”….please do, but right now i’m still collecting detailed data regarding (as mentioned earlier) the countys’ security policies in general.

(Please Note: i haven’t started with creating the app yet nor anything for that matter)

        App Purchasing/In App-Purchase

        by wamj.1987 ·

when i’m creating an app & it should be purchased before downloading the app or in App-Purchase, so, it’s mandatory to “link” a bank account so i can receive the ammounts that are resulting from purchasing the app. but does it have to be a “Business Bank Account” (registering as a Single Proprietorship)??

          Hi there,

Three ways to ask people to pay –

          1. Paid app (they won’t even be able to download the app)
          2. Free app + IAP (Download is free but user can use only limited features; they need to pay for special features objects via In App Purchase i.e. IAP)
          3. Paid App + IAP

3rd one I believe is rarely used, because App Developer wants user to get enticed by the free features first so that can get hooked enough to pay for other parts of the app.

Our company has been building apps ever since Apple came up with iOS platforms. Whenever we build an application we ask our client to create their Developer account on iTunes/GooglePlay an then we do all the set up including Financial set up for them.

They (our clients) are responsible for linking whichever bank account they want with their iTunes/GooglePlay account. I believe it is mostly Business Bank Account; however, I remember working on a small project with an individual client who might have linked their personal account.

However, the term used on GooglePlay form i.e. Merchant Account indicative enough of Developer’s account being a Business Account.

I think the best way would be to call us their customer service and hear it from the horse’s mouth. They might enquire about the nature and the items you might want to sell through your app.

No one knows about the exact laws a countary have. To know about it you will need to have contact a lawyer to help you in that. Like for my website I did it by lawyer and its running successfully now. Mine one is social media sharing app.
