Task Manager misbehaviour

For some reason, Task Manager started showing ONLY processes. The Applications, performance graphs, etc, disappeared, as did the menu bar. There doesn’t seem to be any options that you can set or anything to do except invoke the Task Manager (eg by CTRL-ALT-DEL) stop processes and close the Task Manager.
