In my NT 4.0 machines under the TCP/IP settings there is a tab labled DNS which has a field in which a “Domain” is entered. Currently we enter a doamin of “computer.com” during setup. Now, forgive my complete ignorance, but I am in the process of setting up my first Win 2000 machine and there is no “Domain” field under TCP/IP, DNS in 2000. I was able to work around this by entering name associations in my LMHOSTS file but I hope that a work around is not necessary? Is there a place to enter the”doamin” as intended in NT 4.0??? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!!
