TechRepublic Book - Admin Guide to TCP/IP

By alan.mazer ·
I highly recommend you do not purchase the recently advertised book "Administrator's Guide To TCP/IP Second Edition" as it is a collection of public domain and copyrighted articles available for free throughout the internet. Even the CDROM is a waste with only links to shareware and freeware downloads. A $49 waste of money..! Emails to are returned as undeliverable, messages sent through the http form are ignored. If you purchase this book and CDROM you will have to call the 800 number to get the address to return it and I can only hope I do not have to go through the hassle of disputing the charge on my credit card to get a refund. Anyone else who has purchased a book from this site please chime in with your own personal experience. Lets see how long it takes for them to wipe this thread off the site...!

I?m sorry you didn?t find TechRepublic?s Administrator?s Guide to TCP/IP, Second Edition to your liking. I encourage you to return it for a full refund. Just contact, as printed on the book?s back cover, to coordinate the return.

Incidentally, I?m obligated to note that none of the material published in either the book or on the CD-ROM contains public domain works; all of the content (with the single exception of the freeware Sam Spade integrated network query tool) presented in the Administrator?s Guide to TCP/IP, Second Edition is original, copyrighted material.
