Telegram leaks information

By bertodal ·
At least that day had come!

Some media reported that Telegram leaks IP addresses when users do voice calls. They tried to prove that such thing is dedicated to desktop version only and that they will fix it soon, but I won't be so sure.

We already received different news concerning their privacy. They provide encrypted secret chat, which is end-to-end encrypted, but it is available for iOS users only. And for such a long time Telegram developers didn't add it for Android at least.

So what are your thoughts - is it still worth using or it's time to witch to something else?

So what's the problem do not use voice calls, but instead provide safe communication using secret chats?

no way

by bertodal In reply to Messenger

Maybe it's a kind of way out, but I don't want to buy iPhone in order to use secret chat.. I don't think it's worthy.
It seems that Telegram developers do everything in order to provide less privacy for users.

You need iPhone to use secret chats of Telegram app?
That's ridiculous.

You need

Telegram don't have secret chats in desktop version and Android app - so he's right. You need to buy iPhone or Mac in order to create a secret chat.
But for some reason I don't believe secret chats also.

What, seriously?!
That's so stupid, wasting such huge money just to have protection, so stupid.
Thanks for saying that though, @flawey

secret chat

Why did you decide that secret chat is confidential? I think we don't disclose this information. I don't trust any messenger today.

there are plenty of good secured messengers.
have you tried to make some research?
do you know Signal or Dust?

Of course, I know Signal and others. Hackers can hack everything, they need more time for more complex programs. Scammers will do it when they need it. I think that Signal isn't interesting to anyone yet for hacking. I don't think this messenger is completely safe. And any other messenger is unsafe. It's my opinion.
