I HAVE EXCHANGE 5.5 INSTALL ON WINDOWS NT SERVER (SP5)
I am trying to connect (IMAP$) using telenet wit the following
Open telnet at port 143 The checks thew box in the preferences about local echo

? login domain/username/aliias password
and i receive ? no thats means that the IMAP4 server rejects the user name and assword.Usin another method which i beleive is the same as previous i receive the same pe
localhost LOGIN username password i receive
localhost no
The purpose is to check the ability to connect to the mail server using IMAP4 protocol from outlook express. So i trying first using telnet. THe user name and password exiists on windows nt and also i have create a recepient with user nameand password as above.
Is anybody to helpme about?/
