Telnet or HT from W2K Pro to Cisco 2513

By cjenkins ·
I installed a fressh install of W2K Pro to a system that previously had been able to Telnet and Hyperterm into our Routers. Every other system can still access the router, which is on the other side of our Proxy server except for the system with the new install of W2K. Any ideas why I'm unable to access the router with the W2K system?

My first guess would be a host name resolution issue.
Did your previous install have a static entry in a host file?
Are you pointing to a new name server?

Have you tried to address the router by using its LAN side IP address?

Hope these little tid bits help.

Good Luck!

I found out that I hadn't set the Windows 2000 Pro to be a Proxy Client yet.
