if I telnet frm my Laptop to some remote router I am not able to telnet & I have to log on local router but for some othe remote router I am able to telnet directly from my Laptop

Please help with solution

When you say 'remote', do you mean over the Internet?

Allowing telnet access to a Cisco router (versus SSH) is a very bad idea from a security perspective.

No , I mean Intranet & I am not replacing telnet with SSH for this ., please respond

And you have to be allowed on the router, as well.

If you don't have a login, or Telnet is blocked on the router, that would do it.
