What is the procedures to test the network services like cute FTP, telnet?

If you can be more specific about the testing needs, it will be better. If you want to test whether telnet/ftp services are running, do: netstat --tcp -n at the prompt and look for ports 21 and 23.

If you want to test your clients like PuTTY andcuteFTP, point them to your UNIX server which runs these services. Hope this helps.

From a windows system, telnet to the TCP/IP address of the system. Start->Run, enter telnet <server address>, and click OK. If you are prompted with a login prompt, telnet probably works OK.
