text only format

By mjkqb ·

My boss wants to go to a text only message format with no graphics allowed in the body of the message, only as attachments. Any idea on how I can accomplish this.

We're currently using Exchange 5.5 and Outlook clients from 97-2003. Workstation OS NT4-XP.

We will be migrating to Exchange Server 2003, will this have more options for this?

In the Outlook clients, you can go to (T)ools,
(O)ptions, and the Mail Format Tab. Right in the top you can change the message format to Plain Text instead of HTML. This will force graphics to be placed as attachments instead of inline images.
