I want any and all facts about Windows Vista that Microsoft will not tell in their advertisements but have to spell out in the EULA.
I have heard that Windows Vista has DRM in it. I have heard that there are over 80 programs that will report to Microsoft on its status. I have heard on the radio a few months ago that Vista will report to Microsoft on all the installed software and if Microsoft sees that any of the software may have been installed illegally, it will send a command to disable the software from running. The next step is to contact Microsoft to prove you own the software, of which sometimes they may release it, or else they make you pay for the software again just to make them happy.
It is because of this problem that I do not use Vista on a regular basis.
I want some confirmation from as many IT professionals out there.
Basically I want to know what I am going to be dealing with when I finally make that big step to use Vista on a regular basis.
