My first thought is that you have one of the virus / worm attachments and it is trying to install to a folder that does not exist on your PC, and security settings do not allow it to create the folder.

Or, the attachment is actually a link instead of the file and you do not have the same drive and folder on your system.

Start by checking with the person who sent you the email.
Did they actually send you an email with an attachment?
Was the attachment a program?

If they did not send you an email, that all but verifies that it is a virus / worm.
Many of these virus / worms spoof an email address from the address book in the infected PC to make it harder to track them to their source.

Virus protection has disabled that attachment or corrupted the attachment. export your outlook to a pst. It will then only export good emails. then have your admin delete your mailbox and recreate it, then import your pst.

The attachment has links to other docs or excel files. It is looking for them.
