The end of the portable PC?

by indigo18 . Updated 22 years, 8 months ago

Last week I travelled without my portable PC, a 5 pound machine that felt like 15 after 6 hours of travel. No lugging the Portable through air security, no hoisting the computer on a bus to the rental car and no lifting the machine to an aircraft bin with my roll on luggage. I checked into H__ Suites, that actually had a PC flat monitor and high speed connector in every room, a major hotel with a business center that had a PC, High speed connection, printers and Faxes. The client had a PC for me with a WAN. All I carried was a set of CD’s with company information, a small CD burner with a USB connector, a picture cell phone for reports and trouble shooting, a Palm device with word conversion.
I really think that soon we will have a tooth brush with everything built in to make that mad dash to a flight or different airport gate.
Any suggestions on what is coming up for the future?
