The Main Taskbar does not appear any more on second of my two monitors

    by dilbardgkhan01 ·

This is my main issue.I have Windows 10 on my PC. I have two monitors.

I used to have taskbars on each of the two monitors, and the taskbars showed icons and names of websites open on the respective monitors.

A couple of days ago, for whatever reason, a taskbar has started appearing only on one monitor — the “main” monitor — and that taskbar shows names of websites open on both monitors.

Settings > Taskbars did not provide me a clue on how to restore the taskbar on the second — “secondary” monitor.”
    Regards.

It seems like you’re having some trouble with your taskbars on your two monitors, and I totally get how frustrating that can be. Let’s see if we can find a solution!

Have you tried going into your display settings and checking to see if your two monitors are set up correctly? Sometimes Windows 10 can get a little wonky with its default settings, so it’s worth double-checking.

If that doesn’t work, have you tried restarting your computer? It’s a classic IT solution, but sometimes it really does work wonders.

It sounds like the taskbar settings on your Windows 10 computer may have been changed, causing the taskbar to only appear on one monitor instead of both. Here are the steps you can take to try and restore the taskbar on your secondary monitor:

Right-click on the taskbar and select “Taskbar settings” from the menu.

Scroll down to the “Multiple displays” section and make sure the toggle switch for “Show taskbar on all displays” is turned on.

If the toggle switch is already on, try turning it off and then turning it back on again.

If the above steps do not work, try right-clicking on the taskbar again and selecting “Task Manager” from the menu.

In the Task Manager window, find and select “Windows Explorer” under the “Processes” tab.

Click the “Restart” button in the bottom-right corner of the window.

This will restart the Windows Explorer process, which may help to restore the taskbar on your secondary monitor.

If none of these steps work, you may need to check your display settings to ensure that your monitors are set up correctly and that the secondary monitor is recognized by your computer. You can access display settings by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting “Display settings” from the menu. From there, you can adjust settings such as display resolution and orientation, and make sure that your monitors are set up correctly.
