“The Microsoft Access database engine could not find the object d:\…” whe
LockedHi All,
Apologies if this has been posted to the wrong forum as it’s actually being experienced in Microsoft Access.
The many postings online re “The Microsoft Access database engine could not find the object ‘xxxxxx’. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly. If ‘xxxxxx’ is not a local object, check your network connection or contact the server administrator.” have been dealt with suggestions to check that the path is accessible, permissions, etc.In this case however, the error comes up when trying to import a .csv from a mini SD Card in MS Access 2016. I can access the content of the SD Card both via File Explorer and by browsing to the D: drive during the import function in Access and have full R/W access to it.
When the same .csv file is copied from the SD Card to the C: drive, the import works correctly. The function was working previously importing the file from the CD Card.
It is MS Access 2016 and the issue has persisted even after updating the version.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Many thanks.
