I have a 2 comp, home network set-up. One running XpPro and the other running 2kPro. My problem is as follows:
I can map from XpPro to 2kPro. I use the Administrator acct and pass to do so through the connect as different user. When I try to map from 2kPro to the XpPro machine, and use the connect as… I get the text box with the dialog: unknown user and/or password.
I’ve tried connecting as:
Administrator + password,
[compname]\Administrator + password, and
\\[compname]\Administrator + password
I’ve also gone into the computer management utility and created different accounts with different levels of access, to try a connection with, to no avail.
I know I could just move data only using the Xp machine, but thats the p*ssy way out.
Any help?
