    Threads sharing data

I have had a look at the new social media platform Threads, and apparently, they share too much data of users. Threads collect information on your in-app activity, profile information, and third-party information. It also logs device information, including location-related data, even when location sharing is off. Meta justifies this data collection to personalise and improve its products, as well as to pick up on suspicious activity and secure your account.

I think this is too much data collection. What do you think?

The reality is that platforms as you mention require revenue to operate on a day-to-day basis. The subscribers themselves aren’t providing that revenue directly. How long do you think that media platforms would last if users had to pay a monthly user fee? Just saying……

Don’t get me wrong, I know these platforms are making enormous profits, but this is part of our economic community like it or not.
