how do you configure Thunderbird to read you Hotmail?

I downloaded/Installed the webmail plugins.

I found some instructions online to configure it, but its still notworking right. It pulled down some of my emails but when i try to send or recieve more I get server errors.

tried disabling all the security on my computer but that didnt do anything.

Thanks!

What server errors?

by seanferd In reply to Thunderbird and Hotmail

Error messages are there to tell us what happened.

At a guess, are you sure that the server settings for ports and secure login or secure connection are correct?

Try these.
Hotmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop3.live.com (logon using Secure Password Authentification - SPA, mail server port: 995)

Hotmail Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.live.com (SSL enabled, port 25)

Or check here:

or otherwise
http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=hotmail+server+settings

or check the help area for your Hotmail account at the site http://login.live.com/
