Thunderbold Docking station

Hi, I own a work laptop Surface Pro 2 and a personal laptop MSI-NL Eindhoven 5706.
I want a docking station that will work with both and allow me to connect my two 4k monitors but after a lot of research I don’t know what is compatible.
I had a TS4 Thunderbolt that connected to my work laptop but would only allow 1 of the monitors to connect and it didn’t work at all with my MSI laptop so I returned this.
I’m now looking at a BenQ DP1310 but again not sure if it would work and finding it hard to determine if it would or not.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Ben -

You might try reaching out to BenQ customer support for their opinion. No guarante that it will be compatible, but that’s what I would do if I was uncertain about compatibility.

The requirements for video over Thunderbolt are high. You seem to think that the problem lies in the docking station but no, the laptops need to support video over Thunderbolt.
Again, video over Thunderbolt is not a given for each laptop even if it has a Thunderbolt.
There is much written about this on the web, example at https://www.thunderbolttechnology.net/tech/faq so what are we to do?
I suggest you work with the makers to arrive at your solution. You may have to replace those laptops.
