TLS/SSL Negotion Failed

By wildgen ·
I am getting this message in the event viewer and have never seen it before. "Code 4149-Connection from NBRMR1001.ac.com failed %2 TLS/SSL negotiation. connection dropped."
These are occurring about every 10-15 minutes. This is coming from the IMCas an SMTP Interface Event. Running Exchange 5.5 SP3 on NT4.0SP5.

TLS/SSL Negotion Failed

by jpereira In reply to TLS/SSL Negotion Failed

The SMTP server at that location is trying to send you - or somebody at your location - an e-mail and they are trying to use negotiate a TLS connection to do it. TLS stands for Transport Layer Security and I guess that the server at the other end is configured to disconnect if it fails to negotiate a TLS connection.

Try sending mail to hostmaster@ac.com explaining the error message and where it's coming from.
