To those who complain

About Non-Technical Discussions on TR.

Most of us are just goofing off at the Water Cooler in this section of TR and if you don't like it well tough luck.

But if you want a reason why we spend so much time here follow this link and you'll find out why.

Now with a water Cooler like this who would want to ever leave? :^O

and this is how most of us look when we arrive at the water cooler.

Now do you understand?

I'm closer

by HereInOz In reply to To those who complain

Hey, Oz, I could be at that water cooler in about 3 hours from where I am. Sounds like a damn good idea to me.

Now if he was in England, he could also have another tap that served it flat and at room temperature. Wouldn't that be fun

It'll happen

If they got wind of this they would want it for themselves.

Incidentally I didn't see your comments about "The Friday Yuk!" Was it a little too close to home? :^O

I can get a beer with the Aussie contingent...

Then you guys can teach me all the cool Aussie terms so I can talk about the hispanics here in FL behind their back and they'll have no idea what I'm saying. ]:)

You still here?

by HAL 9000 Moderator In reply to hopefully in fall 2006

From the reports that we've been getting I would have thought you'd have been blowen away to the Land of OZ.

If you where comming up to the REAL AU I'd organize a 6 pack of Darwin Stubbies just for you and make sure you drank them all in one sitting. :^O

After all it's only a 6 pack.

six packs

by jck In reply to You still here?

it would be much appreciated :)

If I could bring you some of my homebrew, I would. But, I don't know about Aussie law and what not. Only way I know I could get some there would be to recycle it for you through my bladder...and I Don't think you wanna try that...hahaha

I bottled it on Sunday morning (after 11 days fermenting). Seems to be pretty strong (I'd say...7-7.5%?) and I have 8 liters of it carbonating now in the bathtub of the guest bath.

As for beers...strongest I've ever had (that I knew the %abv) was "La Fin du Monde" made by Unibroue(sp?) out of Canada. Triple fermented, 9% abv. Ah...sweet nectar...6 pack of that...will get you seeing flying monkeys!!!

So, get the stubbies ready if I head over...if they're good, I'll drink them. If they taste like poo, I'll let your dog drink them!!! ]:) j/k

by Oz_Media In reply to six packs

For Colin, a 6-pack of US beer is something you drink in a restaurant while waiting for your drink to arrive.

I bought 12 pack of Heineken for $13.99 US COLD, with a $2.00 discount for having a Safeway (grocery store) Club savings card.

That same box of COLD beer in Canada's 'beer stores' is over $26.00 + GST + PST and deposit. APPROX. $30.00 all done.

A liquor store is a few bucks cheaper but it isn't cold.

That's one I will give to America, you can buy beer ANYWHERE, gas stations, corner stores, supermarkets I am surprised MacDonlds doesn't have an off-sales cooler.

Canada could learn something there, sell beer in Canada Safeway and give us our club card savings too!

Hey, it's FREE SLURPIE DAY IN CANADA TODAY!!!

7-11 is giving away free slurpies all day! Don't drink 'em anymore though, had brain freeze one too many times ( as most of you already know) .
