If you can not find them on Toshiba's Site

by OH Smeg Moderator In reply to Toshiba Satellite A300 20 ...

You need to open the Device Manager and make a list of every bit of Hardware listed and then search the Net for XP Drivers.

You can also use Belarc Adviser to gather the installed Hardware.

You'll need to enter the Full Model Number to get the correct Drivers something like A300 SXXXXXX

SATA Driver

by 2BlueUK In reply to i can't show driver sata

Toshiba mostly uses generic windows SATA drivers, so it would be compatible with windows XP, you dont need a seperate SATA driver.
But is you do have a SATA drive you may encounter complications during installation.
To get past this simply enter BIOS and change SATA drive option to IDE, or in case of new Toshiba machine AHCI > Compltibility Mode.
Hope this helps.

Dont change back to AHCI after XP install

your computer simply wont boot, if you can dig out your hard drive and have a look at the model number, you are sure to find a driver that is XP compatible (even if its a 3rd party). If you cant just post the make and model number I'd have a look 4 u.
