Toshiba Satellite P35

My screen has a blue line down the middle of it. It doesnt show all the time, anyone know how to make it go away?

Plug in an external monitor

And see if this still happens. If it does you need to get the units Video Card replaced.

If it doesn't happen on the external monitor then you need to replace the NB's Monitor.

Maybe a Cool Pad under the NB may help if it is a heat related issue but as I have no idea what is causing this to occur it's hard to say if that would help. Something like this is what I'm talking about here

A quick check

Can you press lightly on the screen at the top on the line. Does it go off.

1. If it does then it is a dry contact on the Tape Carrier Package (TCP).
<br>
2. It could also be an LCD panel fault ( bad LCD driver IC, TCP package torn or controller IC).

If it is 1. it can be repaired by inserting a piece of rubber to add pressure to where the dry contact is. I would be taking the notebook to a qualified repairer.
