I have Toshiba Tecra M5 laptop and it's locked with bios password. How can i reset this password? I dont have parallel port so i can't use old way. I tryed to remove bateries and same story apears. Does somebody know now many batteries inside have this laptop? Two ore one? Thanks

Hi, I've got the same probleme.
I want to reset my tecra M5 bios password.

I want to know if you have find a solution (As you, Toshiba ask me 150? ~ $240 to do this)...

I went into this topic which covers all toshiba laptops in many other posts. Battery removal will never clear the password. You do have the option of sending us your laptop for service. and btw: registered user address must match original warranty registration for us to perform the work. We will verify ownership of laptop to prevent any repairs to be performed on stolen laptops.
