Track Changes

By bobmac ·
When using the track changes in word, after making a change, the "balloon" shows the change to have been made by another user of the machine, even though i'm logged on...
I've checked the 'user information' in tools -options and it shows me as the user, so why does a previous user/reviewer keep showing???

Accept or reject the changes save and carry on.

Sorry, perhaps i wasn't clear...acceptance or rejection is not the problem, my changes appear as if they're made by a user that isn't me, but a different user of the machine...

Try deleting temp files. They start with a tilde (~).
Rename/delete normal.dot.

Did this "phantom" user ever access and make revisions to the specific document? Try creating a new document, saving it and making revisions. Are your changes showing as another users? Try deleting normal.dot (remove from Recycle Bin) and restart word. Access the document and see if that helps.
