Transfer Mailbox of MS Exchange

If you need to do it within the site - just open Exchange Administrator, select needed mailbox and select Tools-> Move Mailbox

If you need to transfer mailbox from one site to other - you'll have to use Exmerge utility. For Exchange 5.5 you can find it on BackOffice Resource Kit 2nd Edition, for Exchange 2000 - on CD in Support Tools folder.
It's really easy to use so you shouldn't have any problems.

Hope it helps

thanks for the response but i think i need to detailed more deeply.

i have to existing msexchange from different location with the same organization by doing a new site and orgranization and later connect it via site connector.

What i need is to transfer all mailbox of the server to the other (because we will be implementing other lotus notes on there site)

i know that your point is to trasnfer mailbox by using move mailbox but it only solve if you join on the existing site.

do you have anymore idea?

If you're using Exchange v5.5 SP3 or SP4, you can use the Move Server Wizard that is found on the SP3 CD. I have not used it a lot, but it can apparently move mailboxes from Site to Site as well as from Organization to Organization.

I'm respectful of Tony's answer as his advice in regards to Exchange is generally right on, but unless I'm mis-reading the question, what the questioner wants to do is move mailboxes from one site to another within the same organization. Isn't thatwhat the Move Server Wizard does or did I miss something here?

The move server wizard moves Servers from one org or site to another. Not what you are looking to do.
As you stated you can only use the native "Move Mailbox" feature to move mailboxes within the same site. You want to do it across sites.
As answer 1 stated your best method would be to use the ExMerge utility. It can be found on the Ex5.5 or Ex2K resource kit. If you are unable to find it, please let me know and I can send you the files (MS has had this posted on their site before).
ExMerge has two modes, one step or two step. One step just does both halfs of the two step process. First you extract the mailbox (or multiple) to a .pst [this is the first step]. Second you import the .pst into the new server [the second step].
Hopethis helps.

Hi Paul, from what I picked up on the question is that they want to move mailboxes, not the server. The server will be staying at the other site. The move server wizard could move the server into the same site as the new one, but that is not the intended goal.
And of course I could be interpreting the question totally wrong too.

Yaeh, shure, I've got a idea.
And I've already told ya - it's Exmerge. Now more details as you asked:
Exmerge creates .pst files from all or any mailboxes on specified Exchange server and the merges those .pst's into new mailboxes on other Exchange server. This lets you move mailboxes in easy manner. This all supported with GUI and lots of instructions.

Try it, I made it a lot of times and it always worked.
