There are a number of ways that this can be accomplished. If your computers are connected via a network, than using it to transfer the data would be fastest. Lacking that, if you have removable storage such as a Zip or Jaz drive, you could use thisdrive to transfer the data. Another approach to this would be to add the existing drive (assuming we are not talking about laptop computers) to the new computer boot up anddo a did to disk copy of the important files. Please note that in any event, you will need to reinstall the Peachtree software. Hope this helps.

here is the data i am guessing she wants to move over (unless peachtree really is all).
mail messages and address book
browser favorites list
peachtree data folder
word documents (like, christmas card list...)
your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to find out where the bosses data is...then, as the previous answer said, there are lots of ways to get it. easiest would be via floppy or zip disk. we need to know what version of windows the old and new computers are running. then we can help more. good luck

Better yet do you have a cdrom burner? if not get one, and use 640meg at a shot on 20 cent cds to copy data.

Also you can get more data onto a CD / Zip disk by "zipping it" first by using a compression program such as WinZip.

A fast way to transfer files is from disk to disk. I only recommend this if you are comfortable with opening the computer and physically moving drive, if not the CD-Rom solution is best.

1. Turn both machines off.
2. Remove the hard drive from the old computer.
3. Disconnect the CD-Rom of the new machine.
4. Connect the old Hard drive where the CD-rom was connected in the new machine.
5. Turn on the new machine.
6. In My Computer you will see the old hard drive as a secondarydrive letter (probably the same as what the CD-Rom was). Your main drive of the new machinewill still be the C: drive.
7. Copy the files you want to the new drive.
8. When you are done, turn off the machine.
9. Disconnect the old drive and reconnect the CD-Rom.
10. Start up the new machine again.

You have now copied the files. I hope this has helped.
