Transferring Outlook 2003 contacts

By bob ·
Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager.
I need to transfer the contacts from a retiring PC to a new one.
How do I go about this?

Do you just want to tranfer your email info or do you have other documents, settings, favorites, etc... to transfer?

Try using the Files Transfer Wizard. Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and start the File and Settings Transfer Wizard - this will walk you through saving your files and settings. Once saved, bring to the new computer and run the wizard again - it will pull it all in.

Hope that helps!! JEPott

OR...... you can export the contacts straight from Outlook into a pst file by going to File > Import & Export > Export to a file > Personal Folder File (.pst) > Select Contacts (check Include Subfolders if you have more than one folder for contacts) > Choose your destination > select if you want encryption > hit OK!. To import its almost the same except you select Import from another program or file and then choose the pst file
