Transitioning from samba to windows 2003

By eval ·
Has anyone had experience transitioning from samba 2.7 to windows 2003? Particularly is there any easy way to get ldap entries into active directory?

What about on the client side? how do you keep the client settings for their programs? Is there any program to copy these?

But in answer to your question I believe the Microsoft has some tools that can accomplish this job with as few hassles as possible. Sorry but I can't remember its name but it was something that MS won an award for at the Linux show/convention last year I think but it is an Open Source product made by Microsoft that makes it possible to migrate from Linux to Windows, I think the particular thing that I remember was written for W2K Server but it should work equally well with 2003.
