Trimming the # of IE toolbars displayed

Internet Explorer allows one to add all sorts of toolbars…Google, Yahoo, MSN to name a few. The problem is, the viewable area below this morass eventually gets to a point where you can’t view certain parts of one screen webpages with icon buttons at the bottom of them. Yes, I can manually remove the one(s) I don’t want, but the next time I re-open IE, I get the same problem again. How do I make the trimmed list the default?
