trouble connecting linksys wireless b adapter to linksys access point

My wireless b adapter can see my wireless access point but is unable to connect to it. I can connect to an outside apple unsecure network but can’t connect to my own access point. I have wpa security, all my other computers can connect to the access point (laptop and IMAC); however, this desktop pc is unable to connect. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve downloaded the latest drivers for my linksys wireless b, ver. 2.8. Thanks!
