By annie ·
In MS Word 2003 small business edition, I have lost the ability to insert a text box and to resize and move photos in a document. Does anyone have an idea. I am stumped.

You can run a detect and repair from the menu. It's under help.

Inserting a text box and Inserting a image.

A text box is a movable, resizable container for text or graphics. They are used to position several blocks of text on a page or to give text a different orientation from other text in the document.

1. Click where you want the text box to be.
2. Under the Insert menu, select Text box.
3. The text box will appear where you cursor was.

Inserting a image

In Word, you can insert pictures that you have taken or scanned with a scanner, images that you have created or found on the web or use the clip art from word itself.

1. Click where you want to insert the image.
2. Under the Insert menu, select Picture and point to From File.
3. Locate the picture you want to insert.
4. Double-click the picture you want to insert.

To insert clip art and other shapes

1. Click where you want to insert the clip art.
2. Under the Insert menu, select Picture and point to Clip Art.
3. Choose what you want.

Word has many options to choose from under the Picture command, so explore the different options you have.
