      That’s a good strategy.
      Moreover, you can use it for other things also, like a coffee machine, a printer, a car, in fact anything that is repairable.

      All the laptops are current models with almost all parts soldered down so the troubleshooting is short.
      1. Reload the deployed image.
      2. If that doesn’t fix it, issue the employee a replacement.
      3. Check warranty and if in warranty arrange for return to the supplier or maker.

      I worry about those that took all those computer repair classes.
