Trust between NT4 domain and W2K domain

By djnoy ·
I've got 2 one-way trust established between my 2000 domain and NT4 domain. Does anyone know how to add users from the NT4 domain into one of the groups in the 2000 domain? Does anyone know if it's even possible? When you go to add users in the 2000 domain, it just gives you 2 choices, directory and the name of your domain. And all the machines can see each other.

I believe clone principal will do what you are looking for. Look in help for the correct syntax

You will need to create a local group in your 2000 domain, and a global group in your NT domain, and logging in as the domain admin on the 2000 domain, you will need to add the global NT group to the domain local 2000 group. If your trusts are setup right, and Active Directory is running properly, you should be able to implement this on the 2000 server.

I hope this sheds some light on the situation.

One question though: are you running active directory in mixed or native mode?

It's running in mixed mode. Trust is working correctly and so is AD. Still can't add any groups to the 2000 domain from the NT domain.
